Swine Manure Floating Cover System

The first insulated floating membrane cover system specifically designed for hog waste tanks was installed on a farm just outside Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada. This technology, available exclusively from GTI, provides the following advantages to farmers:

The permanent, hermetically sealed membrane was installed over an existing 95ft diameter concrete manure holding tank. The system includes a pump hatch, two sample ports, and a controlled rainwater collection system. Mr. Rodriguez is interested in increasing the fertilizer value of the manure.

The permanently installed covers require low maintenance and can remain in place for a decade or more. GTI’s cover systems are custom fabricated and quickly installed with no disruption to farm operations.
