EPA Regulations - Arsenic in Drinking Water

Because of the negative health effects of ingesting arsenic, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the World Health Organization have established a Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 10 parts per billion in drinking water. In the USA, compliance with the EPA limit is required by January 2006.

EPA ETV Program

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) supports the Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) Program to facilitate the deployment of innovative or improved environmental technologies through performance verification and dissemination of information. ETV provides high-quality, peer-reviewed data on technology performance to those involved in the design, distribution, permitting, purchase, and use of environmental technologies.

NSF International (NSF) in cooperation with the EPA operates the Drinking Water Systems (DWS) Center. The DWS Center recently evaluated the performance of ADI's MEDIA G2^® adsorption media filter system for reduction of arsenic in drinking water.
